Ketamine- Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
There is growing research in the mental health field on the benefits of Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) for individuals who feel stuck and are seeking lasting symptom relief. KAP has shown promising results, particularly for those struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mental health challenges, or for those encountering barriers in their current therapy. Some of the latest studies highlight profound, life-changing outcomes, which inspired me to offer KAP as an option for clients who feel it may support their healing journey.
If you’re interested in learning more about KAP and whether it might be a good fit for you, I encourage you to explore available research—or reach out, and we can discuss it together. Below are some helpful starting points:
What is ketamine- assisted psychotherapy?
-
1) Medical Evaluation with Journey Clinical – Before beginning KAP, you’ll meet with a licensed medical provider at Journey Clinical for a full medical assessment, eligibility screening, and personalized treatment plan. If approved, they will prescribe your medication.
2) Intake & Preparation Session – You and I will meet to discuss your intentions, set expectations, and prepare for the experience.
3) Ketamine Dosing Sessions – You will have your ketamine sessions in a safe, supported environment. These dosing sessions are 3 hours long and the typical Journey Clinical treatment plan includes two dosing sessions.
4) Integration Sessions – After each ketamine session, we will meet to process insights and incorporate them into your healing journey. -
The full course of ketamine treatment typically ranges from 6 to 8 sessions, depending on the medication dosage per session—if you haven't taken the full dose or booster and have extra remaining, your treatment may extend over more sessions; if you'd like to continue beyond that, we can reach out to Journey Clinical. The 6-8 sessions don’t have to be done consecutively. For example, we may choose to do four consecutive weeks and then schedule refresher sessions to maintain the effects.
While a single ketamine session can provide rapid relief, completing the full 6-8-treatment cycle is recommended for lasting, transformative results. Ketamine works by promoting neuroplasticity, meaning it helps the brain form new, healthier pathways over time. Multiple treatments reinforce these changes, reducing the likelihood of symptoms returning. Additionally, deeper layers of trauma and ingrained patterns often require repeated sessions to be fully processed and integrated. Stopping after one session may provide temporary relief, but completing the full protocol increases the chances of long-term healing and resilience.

In person is preferable for dosing sessions. We can/will perform our integration sessions online. For the dosing sessions, we can either meet at Ascentiah Healing Center, NY, NY or Grand Street Healing Project, BK, NY or depending on location I can do house calls. If you feel that virtual is best suited for you, I can also accommodate that request.
